Mark Sanchez, Quarterback

Mark Sanchez, according to our metrics in 2014, is the top free agent quarterback on the market.

In 2014, Sanchez posted a Passing NEP of 49.51, which ranked 14th among the 43 quarterbacks who dropped back to pass at least 100 times. His Passing NEP per drop back of 0.15 ranked 13th.

Sure, he had the benefit of the Chip Kelly offense, but considering that no other free agent quarterbacks finished better than 23rd in Passing NEP last season or better than 20th in Passing NEP per drop back, Sanchez should be the top option on the board at quarterback.

Brian Hoyer finished 23rd in Passing NEP (20.60), but his Passing NEP per drop back was just 25th in the league. It's a thin market at quarterback, according to our metrics, but Sanchez had a solid season in 2014.
