Julian Edelman, New England Patriots

ADP: 58 (5.08)

The best wideout no one is talking about this offseason, news on Julian Edelman has been nearly non-existent.

With the world preoccupied with the latest "Deflategate" developments, everyone seems to have forgotten that in just 14 games last year Edelman was on the receiving end of 134 targets for 92 receptions, 972 yards, and 5 touchdowns.

But with an ADP of 57, going as the 24th wideout off the boards in most fantasy football drafts this season, Edelman presents an excellent high-floor option for those looking for a stable WR2 in the crucial middle rounds of your draft.

This is in large part due to the high volume of targets Edelman has received as a featured player on the Patriots offense. Over the last two years, Edelman has averaged 143 targets per season (9.5 targets per game) lining up in Wes Welker's old, highly-productive slot receiver role in New England.

And with Tom Brady likely out for the first few weeks of the season as he serves a four-game suspension, second-year quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo will likely look to Edelman often as his security blanket.

All in all, what Edelman lacks in flashiness, he more than makes up for in volume and substance, making him a fine target in the fifth round of fantasy football drafts this season.
