Defenses

Defense

High-Cost Option: Denver Broncos $3,600

The Broncos have averaged 16 fantasy points in their last three outings against the Vikings, Lions, and Chiefs. They lead the league with 18 sacks on the season and have the second-most turnovers with 11 on the year. They have two complete shutdown corners who have limited opposing wide receivers to the third fewest fantasy points. Squaring up against the Raiders this week, I'll have a hard time passing on the Broncos at $3,600 as this week's third-highest priced defense.

Mid-Cost Option: Atlanta Falcons $3,200

Playing at home against a Washington Redskins team that is tied for the eighth-most giveaways this season, the Falcons pass rush will have a chance to pin their ears back in this matchup. If Atlanta's offense can have another offensive explosion like they have the past couple games in which they've averaged 43.5 points, Washington will have to turn to Kirk Cousins to try and keep his offense in the game.

Through four games the Redskins have surrendered five sacks on the season, as their pass protection with Cousins in the pocket has been a big improvement in 2015. In the 10 games Robert Griffin III played last season, he allowed five sacks or more in four different games. Atlanta's ball-hawking secondary has been making plays all season as they've got the seventh-most passes defensed (20) and ninth-most interceptions (4) so far. Cousins' career 23:22 touchdown to interception ratio leaves optimism for Atlanta to get a few takeaways this week as 8-point home favorites.

Low-Cost Option: New York Giants $2,900

The Giants get the turnover-friendly Colin Kaepernick this week in a home matchup at the Meadowlands. The 49ers have given up the most points to opposing defenses and have been particularly poor as of late. Opposing defenses have ranked 16th, 11th, 1st, and 4th each week. This season's top run-stuffing defense, New York should be able to limit Carlos Hyde, forcing the offense to flow through Kaepernick and his turnover ways. A surprising $2,900 low-cost price tag, the Giants are a terrific play at home as 7-point home favorites.

GPP Wildcard: Tennessee Titans $2,900

The Titans face a Buffalo Bills offense that has struggled offensively their past two games, scoring only 14 and 10 points in their past two matchups. Tyrod Taylor has been sacked 10 times on the season, and the Titans have successfully been hitting home as they've averaged three sacks per game. A passing defense that has limited offenses to an average of only 214 passing yards per game, the Titans make for an intriguing GPP wildcard.
