Christian Jones, Linebacker

One benefit to the Bears’ offense playing poorly is that it means the Bears’ defense is going to be on the field quite a bit. That means inside linebacker Christian Jones will be a tackle menace for a significant period of time this week, like every other. Jones has been very steady this year, with only one double-digit fantasy week but just one week below 5 fantasy points scored. He’s on pace for almost 100 tackles and 7 stuffs this season, which – while unspectacular, is solid production for the Florida State product.

In Week 9, he and the Bears will tackle the Chargers, who have not been able to find a running game so far this year. That said, due to the most likely script of this game, the Chargers will be ahead for most of the game, and will try to run the ball a lot in order to kill clock. Jones should see plenty of tackles, and he may even get a few run stops for a loss against the Chargers, who rank 15th in stuff percentage allowed.

Jones is available in 98.2% of ESPN IDP leagues. We project him for around 6.0 tackles, a chance for an interception, a chance for a pass defensed, and a total score of 7.32 balanced fantasy points in Week 9.
