Nate Washington ($5,300)

Nate Washington is another beneficiary of that historically awful Saints defense.

Because you probably saw Hoyer's name earlier and thought to yourself "well, obviously" and skipped on to the next name, allow me to recap how bad the saints passing defense is.

Going into this season, the worst passing defense in our database (which dates back to 2000) was the 2009 Jacksonville Jaguars. They posted a schedule-adjusted 0.29 Defensive Passing NEP per play. They were one of only five teams to ever do worse than 0.25. The Saints are on pace to blow them out of the water, and they have a 0.34 Adjusted Defensive Passing NEP per play.

The Texans offense has been surprisingly pass-heavy this season, and their 451 pass plays run so far are tied for first in the league. Washington has had a big role in their passing game, and he has seen an average of 8.7 targets per game in his seven games. He has only turned this into three 10-plus fantasy point games so far, but with by far his easiest matchup to date ,the kind of volume he tends to see should allow him to put up big numbers, especially compared to his price tag.
