Alex Smith isn't exactly a high-upside play -- he has only exceeded 25 fantasy points once this season -- but he offers a very safe floor. That makes him a solid value, given the low salary.

He's up against the Baltimore Ravens this week, who rank 22nd against the pass, with a schedule-adjusted 0.16 Defensive Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per play. They have also allowed the fourth most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this season.

Smith is averaging 20.56 fantasy points per game on the season, and with a favorable matchup, we can expect him continue to produce solid, if unexciting, numbers.
