2.12: Pharoh Cooper, WR, St. Louis Rams

Drafter Comments

"The Rams gave up a lot to land Jared Goff, and needed some weapons to properly develop their young gun. Cooper was the bright spot in a very weak season for the Gamecocks last year, with his superb ability to create plays and get in open space after the catch. Goff should be really pleased with Cooper's ability, as it should really help him out. As for Cooper, facing the tough secondaries of the NFC South isn't an ideal situation, but you can't deny the upside he brings. He may not be drafted, but he should definitely be monitored." -- Zachary Robinson

Other Comments

"Handicapped by poor quarterback play in college, Cooper still found a way to be incredibly productive in the SEC as an all-around weapon. Cooper does a lot of the same things as Tavon Austin, but Austin does them better. I don't know how he fits with the Rams. If they try to make him an outside receiver, I don't think it'll go well. Still, with his diverse skill-set and on-field production in college, it makes sense to snag him in this range." -- Austan Kas

"Pharoh Cooper compiled over 100 career yards rushing, returning kicks, and returning punts while at South Carolina. That kind of versatile production puts him in an impressive cohort of players that includes Keenan Allen, Randall Cobb, and Antonio Brown. I could care less about his pedestrian athletic testing, his production and age make him someone that should be successful at the next level." -- Anthony Amico
