Best Pick: Antonio Gates

Excluding the fantasy irrelevant Week 17, only eight tight ends had more top-12 PPR performances at the position than Antonio Gates did in 2015. And Gates missed five games last year.

This season, the veteran tight end is now Ladarius Green-less, which should only favor his red zone totals. And that's important -- Gates has averaged no fewer than 0.45 touchdowns per game (7.2 touchdowns per season) in all but one year since his 2003 rookie campaign. In other words, if he ends up playing all 16 games, there's a very high probability of Gates scoring eight touchdowns.

The lowest ranking of an eight-touchdown tight end last year was Richard Rodgers, who was TE11 in PPR formats. In other words, Jordan drafted Gates at his probable floor, making him a nice value in the 12th.
