FanDuel Single-Game Daily Fantasy Football Helper: Week 12 Monday Night

The Baltimore Ravens are on the road to take on the Los Angeles Rams, setting us up for plenty of offense.

For those unfamiliar, single-game slates feature five flex spots with identical scoring to the main slate. However, kickers are included in these contests, and there is an "MVP" roster slot. The MVP receives 1.5-times his total fantasy points, making this spot crucial.

Bookmakers currently have the Ravens as 3.5-road favorites and the over/under set at a solid 47.5 points. The over is holding 69% of the bets from the public, pointing towards a higher-scoring game, according to oddsFire.

MVP Considerations

Lamar Jackson ($17,500) - It shouldn't be a surprise at this point, but you want to get Jackson in your MVP spot tonight. As we all know, he is producing one of the best fantasy seasons for a quarterback and is borderline unstoppable. He comes in with 28 FanDuel points or more in four of his last five games, along with averaging 27 FanDuel points on the season. His floor and ceiling combination cannot be matched on this slate, making him an obvious choice for the MVP spot.

Tonight, our projections are a bit lower on him compared to his season average -- we have him going for 24.7 FanDuel points tonight -- but that is still a full 8 points higher than Jared Goff, who is the second-highest at 16.5 FanDuel points. With 69% of the bets on the over, according to oddsFire, we are in a spot to see extra scoring and the ball in Jackson's hands even more.

Cooper Kupp ($13,000) - If you've been playing DFS over the past few weeks, you should know that Kupp has been a bit of a roller coaster. In his last five games, he has posted 6.8, 0.0, 31.5, 8.0, and 3.5 FanDuel points. He is legitimately all over the board and seems to have lost the consistency he had earlier in the season.

But there are a few things to consider here. Number one, he still has that 30-point upside waiting in the wings, especially if the Rams are playing from behind as they are 3.5-point home underdogs. Number two, there could be a good amount of recency bias against Kupp due to these bad performances. That is something you want to embrace in tournament formats since rostering him in the MVP spot could come at lower ownership.

Mark Andrews ($12,500) - If you are specifically aiming for lower ownership at the MVP spot, Andrews might be the answer. Tight ends produce fewer fantasy points compared to other positions, which is no secret. But the 1.5x points at the MVP spot, combined with Andrews' consistent role in the offense, could propel him to a viable MVP option.

Two of the past three weeks don't look particularly flattering for Andrews, as he has played under 40% of the snaps in those two games. Overall, that isn't great, but he makes up for that with his red zone targets.

So far this season, Andrews has a total of 12 red zone targets, which have turned into five touchdowns. The next highest player on the Ravens, Marquise Brown, has seven targets, and two players are tied with two touchdowns. It should be very clear that when the Ravens get to that part of the field, Andrews is their go-to guy by a mile.

Value Plays

Marquise Brown ($9,000) - Speaking of Marquise Brown, we have him as our fourth-best value option on tonight's slate and projected for 9.2 FanDuel points. He also comes in projected for the fifth-most targets out of any player in this game and is under $10K. His season started off with a bang, but he hasn't been able to reproduce what he did in Week 1. In fact, he hasn't come within 60 yards of what he posted in Week 1, along with only have two touchdowns since then.

The inconsistency isn't great, but Brown's 12.3 aDOT (average depth of target) is encouraging, knowing that he's still been the second-most targeted receiver on the Ravens, turning those into the second-most receiving touchdowns.

Gerald Everett ($8,000) - Everett is another player for the Rams who has seen his production be a bit of a roller coaster this season. After having a massive game against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 5, he has seen 5, 10, 3, 12, and 1 targets -- a massive role in the offense or seemingly a non-factor.

At $8K tonight, he offers a good bit of salary relief for the potential role he could play. If he ends up with double-digit targets, he would be an amazing value tonight. If it's on the lower end, he could be a bit of a bust since the Rams should have Robert Woods returning to the lineup tonight. He's a bit of a coin flip tonight.

Nick Boyle ($7,000) - Boyle offers tournament leverage tonight considering he is a 'backup' tight end for the Ravens. As mentioned above, Andrews is the clear number one tight end for the Ravens, but that doesn't mean there aren't other viable options. In fact, Boyle has played 76%, 77%, and 84% of the snaps in the past three weeks, all of which are highest among Raven tight ends.

He is actually on the field more often compared to Andrews but doesn't see as many total targets or red zone targets as Andrews. This isn't to say he has no role in the offense -- three targets or more in three straight weeks -- it's just lower compared to Andrews. At his price point and at potential lower ownership, Boyle is a viable leverage play tonight.
