Koa Misi, Strong-Side Linebacker

In what Vegas projects to be a blowout of epic proportions, Miami Dolphins linebacker Koa Misi could be a stellar IDP streamer this week against the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks are favored by betting lines by 10.5 points this week, the largest Week 1 margin in the league. If Seattle goes up early in this game, they could go back to their run-heavy ways to kill the clock and keep control of the ball – which would mean a ton of tackle opportunities for the linebackers. Misi also plays the more blitzing strong-side spot, and the Seahawks allowed the fifth-highest sack percentage in 2015.

Last year, Misi was playing the middle linebacker spot for the Dolphins, so his total tackles swelled to a career-high 78.0, and he picked up eight tackles for a loss, but had no sacks for the first time in his career. On the strong-side in 2016, he should be able to sustain a 16-game pace of about 60 total tackles but also pick up a few more sacks, depending on the game. This is the perfect game script for his skills.

Misi is available in 98.6% of ESPN IDP leagues, and we project him for 7.10 tackles, 0.02 sacks, 0.12 passes defended, and a total score of 7.48 fantasy points in Week 1.
