FanDuel Salary Changes: Week 2
Thomas Rawls, RB, Seattle Seahawks
FanDuel Price: $6,600
Salary Change: Down $800
Coming back from offseason ankle surgery, Thomas Rawls was expected to be eased into regular season action after playing just sparingly in the Seahawks’ final preseason game. The coaches held to their word, limiting Rawls to just 22 snaps while starter Christine Michael took the field for 52 plays. Rawls finished the game with just 58 total yards and saw his FanDuel salary plummet $800 to $6,600 for Week 2.
Meanwhile, his backfield mate, Michael, saw his salary increase by $1,100 this week.
Despite playing 30 fewer snaps than Michael, Rawls saw heavier usage and higher scoring efficiency last week:
Week 1 | Snaps | Carries | Receptions | Touches/Snap | FanDuel Pts/Snap |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Christine Michael | 52 | 15 | 2 | 0.33 | 0.15 |
Thomas Rawls | 22 | 12 | 3 | 0.68 | 0.33 |
Head coach Pete Carroll has already announced that Rawls will be the starter this week and that he's in line for a much bigger workload. Rawls will face the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, one that allowed 88 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns to Carlos Hyde on Monday night. With the lack of total production last week and the low team total (22.5) this week, Rawls will have a low ownership in tournaments. That just makes this GPP play even more perfect.
