For all of the grief we give the soon-to-be 8-8 Los Angeles Rams and head coach Jeff Fisher, they’ve been the holders of the number-one spot on the Most Impactful Play leaderboard for two weeks running now. Maybe that’s more due to them allowing their games to stay close than any sort of real success, but it’s something to cling tightly to when they go 5-7 the rest of the way.

Still, for now, the Rams are riding high and leading the NFC West after brilliant plays put them above their rivals. In the first quarter of this week’s game, quarterback Case Keenum quick-snapped the ball and caught the usually composed Arizona Cardinals’ defense off guard. He rifled the pass to wide receiver Brian Quick, who caught it between two defenders, bounced off the tackles, and then raced to the end zone for six points. L.A. looks good on these Rams for now.
