Start Stephen Gostkowski as a Double-Digit Favorite

Jim Sannes wrote an article back in January on how kickers performed based on measures such as Vegas spreads, implied totals and favorites versus underdogs. Based on his findings, we need to target kickers on teams that are heavily favored, with implied team total as the tiebreaker.

In Week 11, Stephen Gostkowski checks all the boxes we look for in a kicker. The aforementioned Patriots are currently favored by 13.5 points. According to Sannes, kickers on teams favored by 10 or more points scored an average of 9.77 points per game between 2012 and 2014

New England also has the highest implied total of the week at 31.75 points. Sannes found that kickers playing on a team with an implied total of 30 or higher went on to score a wacky average of 10.64 fantasy points per game from 2012 to 2014.

Gostkowski is expensive at $4,900 on FanDuel, but he has more upside than any kicker. He is worth starting in all formats.
