Mike Daniels, Defensive End

The Green Bay Packers’ defense has also been lackluster, but it seems that bad defenses breed good IDP options. This simply means that defensive end Mike Daniels should be on the field even longer in Week 15, and that’s a good thing for us.

Daniels hasn’t been very stable this year, ranking just 45th in tackle rate among defensive ends and qualifying as a startable option for us in just 7 of 13 games. Still, he’s got just enough of everything to make him a compelling IDP streamer: a 39th-place rank in sack rate and 29th-best quarterback hit rate is about average this year.

Daniels is definitely a riskier option than some players, but in a divisional game against a Chicago Bears offense riddled by injuries he could do some damage. The Bears are 11th-lowest in sack rate allowed, but Daniels should disrupt the run game; Chicago has the 13th-highest stuff rate allowed to opposing defenses. Daniels has 7 stuffs himself this year (1.35 percent stuff rate) and might add to that here.

Daniels is available in 98.4% of ESPN IDP leagues, and we project him for 2.36 tackles, 0.29 sacks, and a total score of 3.31 fantasy points in Week 15.
