The Buffalo Bills were able to let the board come to them in this class, not panicking on any one position but finding their guys throughout. A transition back to the 4-3 defense necessitated a true weak-side linebacker, and Matt Milano and Tanner Vallejo are both good swings at landing a starter there.

Guard Dion Dawkins is powerful player and can play right tackle to boot; he adds to an already-dominant running game. Wide receiver Zay Jones was a good find in the early second round, despite a lackluster wideout class on the whole; he immediately slots in as the second banana in this receiving group.

Cornerback Tre’Davious White will add to this secondary, which needs help everywhere. Cornerback didn’t seem to be much of a need for them, but perhaps they have something in mind to solve their gaping hole at safety. Quarterback is no immediate need with Tyrod Taylor and Cardale Jones in the fold, but Nathan Peterman presents an interesting developmental project opportunity for this new regime. A late fifth-round pick on a developmental quarterback is not a waste, but they did miss adding more to their safety group and pass protection.
