New Orleans Saints

Needs Entering Draft: TE, ILB, OLB, CB
Positions Drafted: RB, OT, DE, ILB, OLB, CB, S

Cornerback Marshon Lattimore fell right into the New Orleans Saints’ lap at 11th overall, and they happily skipped to the podium to put his name in. That didn’t prevent them from also snagging safety Marcus Williams in the second round to help secure the deep area of the defense. Adding to their defensive pass impact, they landed the services of potential starting weak-side linebacker Alex Anzalone and strong-side linebacker/rush end Trey Hendrickson to put pressure on opposing passers. Al-Quadin Muhammad could also be a contributor after getting scooped in the sixth round.

The Saints did not add a tight end in this stacked class, which must mean they’re comfortable with Coby Fleener leading the way for them. Third-round running back Alvin Kamara was a value get and could be a strong receiving complement to Adrian Peterson and Mark Ingram in the bayou. Offensive tackle Ryan Ramczyk was also a nice grab at the 32nd pick, as he could develop into a franchise left tackle.
