Dallas Cowboys

Needs Entering Draft: TE, DE, DT, CB
Positions Drafted: WR, DE, DT, CB, S

The Dallas Cowboys were my sleeper team to land an O.J. Howard or David Njoku, but they went with defensive end. Taco Charlton landed in Dallas, and he should be the kind of stable, secure pass-rushing and edge-setting threat they need. The ‘Boys also drafted four defensive backs, nailing down the boundaries with Chidobe Awuzie and Marquez White, and plugging the back end with Xavier Woods. Defensive tackles Joey Ivie and Jordan Carroll will be good penetrating presences for the attacking front of Rod Marinelli, and they could enter the rotation early.

Wide receivers Cole Beasley 2.0 -- a.k.a. Ryan Switzer -- and Noah Brown were fine mid- to late-round selections, but neither were necessary for this now run-first offense. With tight end Jason Witten's advancing age, they Cowboys whiffed on getting their big-bodied pass-catcher of the future.
