2. Seahawks Land Hasselbeck, Hutchinson in 2001

AV Differential: 220

In 2001, a draft day trade between the Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers became a giant steal for Seattle, when the Seahawks added third-year quarterback Matt Hasselbeck in addition to 17th overall pick Steve Hutchinson.

Through two years, Hasselbeck had done nothing but sit behind Brett Favre, so he was shipped to Seattle alongside pick 17. The Packers didn't know he'd be a very good quarterback for years to come, and they didn't know he'd be a three-time Pro Bowler, nor did they know that he'd total an AV of 111 during a long and fruitful career.

They also couldn't have known that the Seahawks' first round selection would become one of the best guards in the league. In 12 seasons, Hutchinson played his way to seven Pro Bowls and five All-Pro First-Teams. His AV of 119 trumps that of even Hasselbeck and makes him the best of the four players involved.

It didn't take much for Hutch and Hass to completely overshadow Jamal Reynolds and Torrance Marshall, the Packers' 10th and 72nd overall picks in the draft. The two defensive players combined for an AV of 10 -- 220 below the sum of Hasselbeck and Hutchinson's.
