4. Ray Lewis Briefly Joins Browns on '95 Draft Night

AV Differential: 185

Over the years, we've become accustomed to the Browns fudging trades and valuable draft picks. But most people probably don't recall the Browns' exchange with the 49ers back on the night of the '95 draft.

That evening, it became apparent that San Francisco coveted UCLA wideout J.J. Stokes. They initiated a huge deal with the Browns just to get to 10th overall and take the 6'4" target.

Stokes played nine seasons, he never lived up to the expectations of a player drafted so high. An AV of eight marked Stokes' best single-seasons as he never had a 1,000-yard season.

On the other end, Cleveland brought in four total picks, including the 30th overall selection in 1995, and what turned out to be the 26th overall pick in 1996. The Browns turned the first of the first round picks into linebacker Craig Powell, who earned an AV of just one in three shaky NFL seasons.

The second of the two became a guy with whom you might be familiar: Ray Lewis. He played 17 seasons with the Ravens and won two Super Bowls, and individually, he was 13-time Pro Bowler and seven-time All-Pro linebacker. The only thing is, Lewis (AV of 223) never donned a Browns uniform. Even in a huge trade win, the Browns just couldn't capitalize on what developed into a Hall of Fame career for their division rivals.
