Marshawn Lynch, RB, Oakland Raiders

Positional ADP: RB11 | Projected Finish: RB25

You love Beast Mode. I love Beast Mode. America loves Beast Mode. But please don't draft him this high.

Marshawn Lynch hasn't appeared in a game since November of 2015. He's 31 years old. When we last saw him, he posted Rushing NEP per carry and Rushing Success Rate numbers that were his lowest since 2011.

Much is made of the fact that he gets to play behind the Oakland Raiders' great offensive line. But so do DeAndre Washington, Jalen Richard, and Elijah Hood. Last year, both Washington and Richard performed better -- per our numbers -- than Lynch did in 2015.

"But Lynch signed a $9 million contract," you say. Well, only $2.3 million of it is guaranteed. That's not much in the NFL scheme of things.

Yeah, Beast Mode could ride again. But so many things have to work out just right, it makes him incredibly risky at this price.

Instead Try

Lamar Miller or Crowell make a lot of sense. Both have secure roles with less competition, and we have both with better projected finishes.
