Start the Jets' Defense in a Game With a Low Over/Under

Two weeks ago, we targeted the New York Jets D/ST in a prime matchup versus the Jacksonville Jaguars.

We are going back to the well this Sunday. The Jets are 3.5-point road underdogs against the Miami Dolphins. While I almost always prefer taking a D/ST that is favored, the Jets are worth a look because of their price.

Gang Green is priced at $4,500, which ranks 22nd among defenses.

The total in this game is only 38.5 points, the lowest on the weekend slate. Last year, I wrote about how line movement affects defensive performances, and when the total was between 39 and 42 points in 2015, the defenses involved averaged 8.06 fantasy points per game. So, it could be slightly better with a total coming in lower than that.

The Dolphins are coming off a miracle of sorts after beating the Falcons as 14-point underdogs. The Dolphins still sport the lowest yards per play average in the league (4 yards per play) and have also gone under the total in all five games this season.

The Jets' defense may not be the safest play, but they can be deployed in tournaments based on these numbers.
