2. Kamar Aiken, Indianapolis Colts

Something of a sleeper selection after his signing with the Indianapolis Colts, former Ravens wide receiver Kamar Aiken instead played like someone who was actually asleep in 2017.

He fulfilled his early destiny by outlasting Phillip Dorsett, who was shipped off to the New England Patriots in exchange for Jacoby Brissett. In terms of challenging Donte Moncrief to be the guy behind T.Y. Hilton for targets on the Colts, though, even Moncrief’s meager tally of 26 receptions for 391 yards was better than Aiken.

He saw five or more targets in just four games, and these were the only outings in which he posted more than nine receiving yards. He had nine games in which he saw two or fewer targets and six games in which he went without a single catch.

It was not a banner year for the Colts' offense, with the aforementioned Brissett showing some flashes of adequacy but little indication of sustainable efficiency -- his -0.03 Passing NEP per drop back ranked 22nd of 29 quarterbacks in that metric. However, three of the four wide receivers he targeted at least 30 times all posted positive Target NEP per target, with Aiken's effort the black sheep of the family.
