Benjamin Watson, TE, New Orleans Saints

Price: $4,900

In addition to being Week 1's biggest favorites, the Saints' 29.5-point implied total is also the slate's highest as they take on a Tampa Bay Buccaneers team that we have ranked as a bottom-three D against the pass heading into 2018.

This means that we should see plenty of scoring opportunities for the Saints' offense, which is something you really want to chase when targeting a budget tight end. Generally when you get this cheap, a touchdown will make a tight end a "hit," while the low volume that comes with these spots means that not scoring a touchdown will likely leave you with a "miss."

Benjamin Watson is two years removed from last playing with the Saints, though he notched 79 targets in Baltimore last year, but in 2015, the Saints gave him plenty of work. They fed him 110 targets, which included a team-high 18 in the red zone, where he had a solid 22.8% target market share.

He looks to be in line to dominate the tight end receiving role again this season, with Coby Fleener gone and Josh Hill having never topped 30 targets in any of his five NFL seasons.

The 37-year-old Watson is unlikely to be a consistent fantasy option on a weekly basis, but that doesn't concern us in DFS. He's likely going to finish the year with a handful of touchdowns, and finding a week when he's likely to score can net you some strong value. This is one of those weeks, and it comes with a cheap price-tag, as well.
