Brees being projected for a big game obviously also means at least one of his pass catchers are in a great spot as well. Last season, Alvin Kamara's 100 targets trailed only Michael Thomas for the most on the Saints. That was also good enough for the third-most targets among all running backs last season. Tied for 10th on that list with 71 targets of his own was Kamara's teammate, Mark Ingram.

With Ingram suspended and Mike Gillislee currently the only other running back on the Saints' roster, our models project Kamara for the second-most (6.1) targets of any running back in Week 1.

As for the rushing part, Kamara was pretty good at that too during his rookie season. Among all running backs with 100 or more rushes in 2017, Kamara's 0.28 Rushing NEP per attempt was 0.12 points better than the next closest player and 0.23 more than third place.

Making plays in both the passing and rushing game, Kamara's 17.5 FanDuel points per game ranked fourth among all running backs during his rookie season, and our models actually project him to top all running backs in FanDuel scoring in Week 1.
