The only running back projected in our models to see more Week 1 targets (8.0) than Kamara is David Johnson, who averaged the second-most FanDuel points (23.0) of any running back in 2016 before missing almost all of 2017 with an injury.

Johnson averaged a whopping 23.3 touches per game in that 2016 season and topped 20.0 FanDuel points in 11 of his 16 games.

The Arizona Cardinals have made a head coaching change since then, but our models still project Johnson to lead all running backs with 24.7 touches in the opening week of the season. That gives him an excellent opportunity to go off against a Washington Redskins defense that ranked second-to-last with a 0.08 Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP per play, and allowed the sixth-most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs in 2017.
