Derrick Henry, RB, Tennessee Titans
DraftKings Price: $4,400
Projected Points: 11.8
Projected Value (points per $1,000): 2.69
It's fair to say that Derrick Henry redraft owners have not been fans of his performances to date this year. Through four weeks, Henry ranks as the RB52 in standard leagues and the RB55 in PPR leagues. Needless to say, for a guy who came off draft boards as an RB2, he is vastly under-performing expectations.
His performances have caused his DraftKings price to fall from $5,400 in Week 1 to just $4,400 this week. Things should be looking up for the DK RB62 this week, however.
Henry and the Titans get to tee off against the Buffalo Bills, who, outside of a fluke win in Minnesota, have allowed opposing teams to trample them.
The Bills have surrendered only 301 yards on the ground so far this year, but they have allowed five opposing backs to score a total of seven times against them this year. All seven of those scores and all but 12 of those 301 yards came in their three losses.
The AFC South-leading Titans come into this game as 4.5-point favorites against a team who ranks 31st against RB1s by our metrics. With an expected lead and a weak run defense to exploit, if Henry is to break out for a decent game this season, Sunday will give him one of the best opportunities.
Our models project the big back to score 11.8 DraftKings points. While that may seem underwhelming, the implied value of 2.69 points per $1,000 is the fourth-highest projected on the Sunday main slate. With a projected upside of 27.36, this may finally be the week you want to take a chance on Henry.
