Marquez Valdes-Scantling, WR, Green Bay Packers

DraftKings Price: $3,300

Projected Points: 9.5

Projected Value (points per $1,000): 2.88

Neither Randall Cobb nor Geronimo Allison practiced for the Green Bay Packers on Wednesday, nor are they practicing today. Cobb is still dealing with a hamstring injury, and Allison is still not out of concussion protocol. That means that Aaron Rodgers will likely have Davante Adams and three rookie wide receivers to throw to on Sunday: Equanimeous St. Brown, J'Mon Moore, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling. I say likely because Adams injured his calf in practice on Wednesday and he didn't practice Thursday, so there is a slight possibility that the rookies get all of the receiving work.

Of the three, Valdez-Scantling looks to have the biggest opportunity to return the highest value for your DraftKings lineups this week. The fifth-round pick out of South Florida hasn't had a ton of looks this season. In fact, he only has five targets for the season, catching two for a total of 41 yards.

He is getting more time on the field, however. In Week 3, he was on the field for just 17% of Green Bay's offensive snaps. With Cobb out in Week 4, that number jumped to 71%. His 54 offensive snaps were just two fewer than Allison, and with Allison out, it is very reasonable to see another jump in opportunity.

The Detroit Lions haven't been the easiest team to score points against as a wide receiver this season. In fact, their 23.75 DraftKings points per game allowed to opposing wideouts ranks first in the league.

Only three wideouts have seen 50 or more receiving yards in a game against them, though that's not entirely surprising given that their 624 rushing yards allowed is 104 more than the next-closest team. Of those three, two have lined up out of the slot, where Valdes-Scantling has lined up 58.6% of the time.

Look -- even our models only project him for 45.0 yards and 9.5 DraftKings points this week. While that may not scream a number you'd want to target, consider that his price is only $3,300 and he'll likely be the WR2 in a game where Aaron Rodgers is throwing him the ball. We have his upside this week at 26.5 DraftKings points, which could be the type of play that separates your team from the pack.
