Denver Broncos - Emmanuel Sanders

Cap Savings: $10.25 million

Emmanuel Sanders started his Denver Broncos career with three consecutive 1,000-yard seasons, playing at least 15 games in each. After a woeful 2017 campaign, not at all aided by the play of his quarterbacks, Sanders bounced back with 71 receptions (on 98 targets) for 868 yards and 4 scores in 2018. However, for the second season in a row, he missed four games.

Sanders, who will be 32 in March, saw his 2018 campaign come to a premature end after he tore his Achilles in early December. Ironically, it was the same injury that ended the season of his former stablemate, Demaryius Thomas. But the Broncos had already begun planning for life after Sanders and Thomas by drafting players like Courtland Sutton and DaeSean Hamilton while working Tim Patrick into the offense. These moves make it less likely that the team would be willing to pay Manny $10.15 million in 2019.

However, the lateness of his injury means that he is unlikely to be fully healthy by the start of the season, which, depending on injury guarantees in his contract, may keep him with the team. However, it would not be a total shock if his time with the Broncos came to an end via an injury settlement.
