New Orleans Saints - Cameron Meredith

Cap Savings: $3.7 million

Dead Money: $2.75 million

The New Orleans Saints' passing game is one of the more concentrated in the NFL, with Michael Thomas and Alvin Kamara both commanding 100-plus targets while no other player saw more than 46. When the Saints pried Cameron Meredith away from the Chicago Bears last offseason, they must have had big plans for him, but that's not how it played out.

Meredith played just six games in 2018, and while he caught 90% of his targets, it's not too impressive when you factor in that he was targeted only 10 times. His 9 receptions produced 114 yards and a touchdown.

Tre'Quan Smith was impressive in spells, finishing with 28 catches for 427 yards and five touchdowns, and Ted Ginn Jr. (when healthy) operated as the team's number-two wideouts. There were also flashes from Keith Kirkwood.

Meredith carries the highest cap charge of any Saints pass catcher in 2019, including Thomas. With just over $17 million in cap space and Michael Thomas eligible for an extension, the Saints could use the extra money more than they used Meredith.
