Sunday Quarterback: Philip Rivers, Los Angeles Chargers

Price: $7,600

Things get a little cheaper on the Sunday slate, and Philip Rivers is the lowest-priced of the four starting quarterbacks.

This is despite the fact that Rivers' 18.6 FanDuel points per game in the regular season are the second-most among the week's four starters.

We seem to be getting a heavy dose of recency bias with Rivers' salary here. He ended the regular season with a pair of duds, failing to crack 10 FanDuel points in either of his final two games, before struggling to the tune of 9.9 in the wild card round.

His opponents in these games were the Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens (twice), though. The Broncos ranked ninth and the Ravens ranked first against the pass in the regular season, by numberFire's metrics, and the Broncos allowed the eighth-fewest FanDuel points per game to opposing quarterbacks, while the Ravens allowed the fourth-fewest.

The New England Patriots, on the other hand, ranked 12th against the pass and allowed the 13th-most FanDuel points per game to the position.

Before that ugly three-game stretch, Rivers had topped 20 FanDuel points four times in five games, averaging 20.1 per game over those five. With the softest matchup he's seen in a while, Rivers is way underpriced here and is an absolute steal as the slate's cheapest quarterback.
