Michael Crabtree, WR, San Francisco 49ers

Another place where the lackluster 49ers offense could hurt you, I would try everything in my power to not rely on Michael Crabtree this week. It's not that Crabtree isn't receiving targets, but that they have been of poor quality and he hasn't been able to do much with them. He already ranks just 45th in Reception NEP this season among wide receivers with 40 or more targets, but he somehow ranks worse in Target NEP (51st), and is even worse than this in Reception NEP on a per drop back basis (57th). Crabtree has been one of the most disappointing early-round receivers this season, and I wouldn't hesitate to lock him to your bench until he proves his worth otherwise.

That likely won't be this week, where - despite hemorrhaging defensive players left and right - the New York Giants pass defense has remained an acceptable 16th place in Adjusted Defensive Passing NEP. They're no superstars there, but this should be enough to wreak havoc on already-skittish quarterback Kaepernick and keep Crabtree's value minimal.
