8 Preseason Waiver Wire Players Who Can Help Win Your Fantasy Football League

When the Seattle Seahawks selected Tyler Lockett in the second round of this year's draft, I wrote that he would be the type game-changer this passing offense needs.

And so far this offseason, he's done nothing to convince me otherwise.

Lockett has been absolutely electric this preseason, returning a 103-yard kick off for a touchdown in the preseason opener against the Broncos in which head coach Pete Carroll said Lockett looked "very special." He then followed this up with a 67-yard punt return for another touchdown in a Week 3 preseason win over the San Diego Chargers.

And while he hasn't been used much as a receiver yet in these games -- catching just four receptions for 52 yards in the last two contests -- with his ankle-breaking agility (he was a top-performer in the 20- and 60-yard shuttles) and precise footwork, he's already flashed the skills that he used his senior year at Kansas State to lead the Big 12 in receiving with 106 receptions for 1,515 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Given his difference making skills at the wideout position, I expect to see Lockett's talent propel him up the depth charts on this team. But given the run heavy nature of the Seahawks offense and the presence of number one target Jimmy Graham, he may still need an injury to either Doug Baldwin or Jermaine Kearse to see a big enough workload to make an impact in fantasy football leagues this season.
