Jeremy Maclin, WR, Kansas City Chiefs

While Jeremy Maclin likely pleased fantasy owners in Week 3 versus Green Bay, his performance was somewhat fluky, as he was mostly absent from the passing game until Kansas City went into catch-up mode while down big. He's much more likely to go for 5 catches for 52 yards (Week 1) or 4 catches for 57 yards (Week 2) than 8 catches for 141 yards and a score (Week 3) going forward.

Cincinnati’s pass defense ranks 13th by Adjusted Defensive Pass NEP per play. Given the way Alex Smith has looked outside of Week 1, that’s enough to warrant avoiding Maclin this week. We project him for 4.82 receptions for 73.63 yards and 0.53 touchdowns.
