Tight Ends

High-Cost Option: Greg Olsen $6,500

I wouldn't fault anyone for pursuing Rob Gronkowski this week, but the passing volume there may not be necessary as such heavy home favorites. Greg Olsen on the other hand, gets to take on a Green Bay Packers team that was just embarrassed on national television last week and should make for a more competitive game (the Packers are 1.5-point favorites). Olsen gets a pretty nice matchup against a Green Bay defense giving up the ninth-most fantasy points to tight ends. They have also allowed two straight 100-yard outings from Denver and San Diego tight ends. Olsen has seen 28.7% of the team's targets this year, leading Carolina in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns and should be in line for another solid outing in a projected close-scoring game this week at home.

Mid-Cost Option: Jordan Reed $4,500

Speaking of target volume, Jordan Reed has seen 9.4 targets per game and figures to be a key cog in the Redskins offense once again this week. The Patriots have performed fairly well against tight ends on the season -- eighth-fewest fantasy points -- but have yet to face one that is the centerpiece of the offense quite like Reed. Reed is coming off a 30.2 fantasy point outing against Tampa Bay prior to Washington's bye week and will look to keep that active streak in the offense going. At $4,500 Reed is an affordable tight end that presents both safety and a high ceiling.

Low-Cost Option: Heath Miller $2,700

The Raiders continue to be a poor defense against tight ends allowing opposing tight ends to score in every game except Denver and the infamous "Owen Daniels shutout". Even the Jets' Kellen Davis scored last week on his lone target of the game! Heath Miller has been streaky this season from a fantasy perspective but is coming off his best performance of the year, catching 10 passes for 105 yards on 13 targets. Look for Miller to continue his recent success against an Oakland defense that gives up the second-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends.

GPP Wildcard: Austin Seferian-Jenkins $2,800

Austin Seferian-Jenkins didn't suit up as last week's GPP wildcard, but he enters just as good of a matchup this week and another "questionable" health designation that should drive off heavy ownership percentages once again. The Giants have given up the most fantasy points to opposing tight ends and the most yards by a whopping margin after that rout by New Orleans. Seferian-Jenkins is still a risk but has a pretty nice ceiling with Winston targeting tight ends 21.9% of the time.
