Wide Receivers

High-Cost Option: Julio Jones $9,100

After burning owners last week with a dud against what was supposed to be an easy matchup against Xavier Rhodes, the public may be off Julio Jones in what figures to be another cake matchup for Atlanta's star receiver. Playing the Buccaneers at Tampa Bay this week, the Falcons enter as two-point underdogs on the road, which could lead to some quality volume if Atlanta is forced to stick with the pass to keep the game close. In their earlier matchup against the Buccaneers, Julio caught 12 of 13 targets for 162 yards and a touchdown. Kyle Shanahan likes to move Julio all over the formation, and Tampa Bay didn't stick with any one single corner to trail him in their earlier matchup. The Buccaneers are allowing the ninth-most fantasy points to the position on the year, and Julio has a chance to feast this week.

Mid-Cost Option: Jarvis Landry $6,700?

I wish Jarvis Landry had waited another week before going off (13 catches, 165 yards, 1 touchdown last week), because the masses will be back on him this week after most decided to pay up for wide receiver last week. Landry gets an enticing matchup against the Ravens this week who are allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. Baltimore's secondary has given up the second-most touchdowns, seventh-most receiving yards, and ninth-most receptions to wide receivers on the year, making Landry a terrific play at just $6,700. Primarily manning the slot, Landry will line up against Lardarius Webb, who has struggled during his return from injury. Landry has provided one of the safest floors this season, scoring over 10 fantasy points in all 11 games played so far this season -- a feat that only he and Brandon Marshall have been able to accomplish as skill position players.

Low-Cost Option: Danny Amendola $4,700

Uncertainty in DFS can drive players insane, but it provides much more for those brave enough to accept it -- opportunity. As Tom Brady tries to pick up the crumbled pieces of what he has left on offense, he can turn to one of his most frequently targeted players over the past couple weeks in Danny Amendola. Seeing 23 targets in his last two games, Amendola was able to haul in 19 of them as they were mostly high-percentage throws with a 6.2 average depth of throw per ProFootballFocus. Amendola should have another pretty easy outing, lining up against Philadelphia's E.J. Biggers who mans the slot for the Eagles. Philadelphia is giving up the most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers, and Biggers is partly to blame. $4,700 makes Amendola an affordable option with a high PPR ceiling to slide into your roster construction this week.

GPP Wildcard: DeSean Jackson $5,100

I generally like to target lower-owned commodities in this GPP Wildcard spot, but DeSean Jackson is the perfect boom or bust GPP play and is in a good matchup at home this week. Jackson was surprisingly highly owned last week at 12.2% as the fourth-highest owned wide receiver behind the big three of Hopkins (51.5%), Beckham (39.2%), and Julio (20.3%). Jackson faces the Cowboys this week at home, a team that has done well defending the wide receiver position giving up the fourth-fewest fantasy points allowed which leads me to believe he'll be a lesser owned player this week given the matchup. Kirk Cousins has performed incredibly well at home as of late, and gets back one of his best targets who's done a tremendous job both stretching the field and hauling in the deep pass. Over his past two games he's hauled in both a 56- and 63-yard touchdown, and at a stagnant price of just $5,100 -- the same price since Week 11 -- he's a player that should be widely considered for GPP tournaments.
