4. Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers

Fourth Quarter Passing NEP: 28.33
Fourth Quarter Passing NEP per Drop Back: 0.27

Cam Newton played on a really good football team in 2015. Newton was also really good, though -- if not for having the lead and only having to throw 102 fourth-quarter passes (only two more than Andy Dalton, who played in three fewer games), Newton would've had a much higher Passing NEP total.

(This is why we're ranking on a per drop back basis, by the way.)

Newton took just four sacks, which tied Cousins for the fewest taken by a quarterback on this fourth-quarter list. Like Cousins, he also threw just one pick. Bravo, Cam.

Again, these numbers don't include rushing, which would help Newton's cause. For now, though, let's celebrate the fact that he took a major step forward with his arm in 2015 -- hopefully we'll see more of that next year.
