7. Peyton Manning, 2006

Another year, another Peyton Manning sighting in the countdown -- his third.

Manning's 191.77 Passing NEP led the league in 2006 for the third straight season.

His point total was 55.45 points higher than Drew Brees, who was the only other quarterback to finish the year with 100 points or better. A gigantic 15 of the 32 (46.8 percent) quarterbacks who dropped back to pass at least 250 times in 2006 finished the year with negative Passing NEP.

Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne combined for a massive 285 of Manning's 550 targets (51.8 percent). Harrison finished with 95 catches for 1,366 yards and 12 touchdowns, while Wayne brought in 86 receptions for 1,310 yards and 9 touchdowns.

The Colts won the AFC South at 12-4, which was good enough for only a wild card spot that year. That didn't seem to bother Manning, as the Colts ripped off three straight playoff wins, including a wild 38-34 victory over the rival Patriots, fueled by a 17-point outburst in the 4th quarter.

Indianapolis would go onto win the Super Bowl, 29-17 against Chicago.
