Notes:
42. Josh Gordon - Yes, the newly-unbanned Gordon makes this list, which means that he’d be a top-30 wide receiver in our projections if he wasn’t suspended for four games this year. Still, he provides top-30 weekly wide receiver projection (and top-five upside) from Week 5 onward this year, as he showed when he averaged 16.24 standard fantasy points in 2013. The question is whether or not he is still the same player two years removed from that, and whether the quarterback situation with the Cleveland Browns is good enough to support him.
45. Dorial Green-Beckham - DGB is one of the better upside plays in the fantasy wide receiver groups, depending on where you can get him in drafts. His 0.80 Reception NEP per target rate ranked 21st among wide receivers last year, and he converted 100 percent of his catches for positive NEP. Still, there is cause for concern, as the Tennessee Titans have gone into training camp with him as a second-team wideout. If he can’t refine his technique, he’ll never hit his peak potential.
49. Kevin White - This ranking clearly factors in the concern of White being a top-notch wide receiver prospect, yet never having seen him play in the NFL due to season-ending shin splints in his rookie 2015. The Chicago Bears offense has been able to support two wide receivers in the past well, however, with both Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery topping 100 targets in just 2014. In his final season in college, White racked up 1,447 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns on 158 targets; White could be an excellent second receiver if he proves healthy.
50. Tavon Austin - The Los Angeles Rams’ offense as a whole has been pretty ugly, but there is a bigger concern than that: only Eddie Royal had a worse Reception NEP per target than Austin in 2015, and his 0.30 from last year is no fluke. Austin has never had a Reception NEP per target over 0.45, and has a sub-60 percent catch rate in two of his three seasons in the league. He’s a low-ceiling, lower-floor fantasy option that will be tough to predict each week.
