2. Atlanta’s Guardian Angel, Taylor Gabriel

Win Probability Added: +33.43
NEP: +6.98

The Atlanta Falcons have been one of the best offenses in the NFL this season; that’s indisputable. Quarterback Matt Ryan has had a career renaissance in a year where everyone thought he was over the NFL hill and nothing more than a game manager. It turns out that all a quarterback needs to remain successful is a decent offensive line and some passing game weapons, and what more unlikely weapon than a diminutive wideout that the Cleveland Browns deemed not good enough for their rebuild?

Taylor Gabriel is making Sashi Brown regret the decision to let him walk in free agency over the past few weeks. He followed up a sneaky sweep play touchdown in Week 8 with another score this week. While a 76-yard bomb to the end zone won’t be a weekly occurrence, this is an easy highlight to how impactful Gabriel’s speed and coverage-beating savvy can be. He simply beat his cover man off the line of scrimmage, and Ryan hit him in stride for a massive go-ahead score early in the fourth quarter.
